The Board of Trustees of Memorial Hospital of Carbon County, in conjunction with the Administration team, have announced that Rex Walk, Interim CEO, and Margaret Fontana, CFO, are no longer with the organization. Changes took effect June 12th, 2024.
Mr. Walk served as the interim CEO of MHCC since May 15th, 2023, and Ms. Fontana entered her role March 2024.
Moving forward, the entity has implemented several measures to secure the entity’s future. Seasoned healthcare leader Gerald Parton has been named the new interim Chief Executive Officer. Parton comes to MHCC from Fairhope, Alabama and brings over 40 years of experience to the organization. Arrangements are in progress for the placement of a Chief Financial Officer as well and further communication will be shared as available.
