“Dr. Allred was the right choice to surgically repair my left leg.”
– Nathan Huntley
This past January, Nathan Huntley (left) tore the Achilles tendon in his left leg. “I was at a trampoline park in Cheyenne for a birthday party,” Nathan remembers. “When I jumped on the trampoline, I heard a popping sound and thought I had snapped my ankle at first.”
Nathan went to see Dr. Darin Allred (right), a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with Memorial Hospital of Carbon County. Together, they decided on a non-surgical course of treatment. But weeks later, Nathan tore his Achilles tendon again. “It was my fault,” Nathan admits. “I was playing golf with tennis balls in the ice and snow and wasn’t wearing my medical boot. I slipped and fell just three days before my six-week checkup. After my fall, it was an easy decision to have surgery.”
Nathan chose Dr. Allred and Memorial Hospital of Carbon County for the operation. “From the moment I walked into the hospital, I was well taken care of,” Nathan says. “Blair Nelson was my nurse through the whole procedure, and she pretty much never left my side. Dr. Allred talked to me before the surgery and helped me feel comfortable. Today, I’m out of my walking boot and on my way to a 100 percent recovery. I’m so glad I chose Memorial Hospital of Carbon County.”
